Most budget-friendly ready-to-assemble or ready-to-install cabinets are made using MDF, thermofilm and melamine. However, these products are a poor material choice for quality, long-lasting cabinetry.
Here at Valley Cabinets, there is NO MDF, particle board, melamine or thermofilm in our cabinetry. Instead, we use solid maple door and drawer rails and stiles, solid birch drawers with dovetail joinery, and baltic birch carcasses. Our boxes are made from cabinet-grade plywood, which is the best material for the job given its stability and strength. Slow-close hardware and a high quality finishing process ensure lasting durability and enjoyment.
